Abstract
MANY RUNNERS GO ON CARBO-LOADING THE DAY BEFORE THEIR RACE TO STORE GLYCOGEN, WHICH WILL BE USED AS ENERGY DURING THE RACE. IS THIS PRACTICE NECESSARY?
Glycogen is an importans energy source during exercise, like running. Our body has limited storage of glycogen, of abaut 150g-200g in liver and 400g-500g in muscles.
