Abstract
SHAH ALAM – Kekangan tempat dan tenaga kerja tidak mencukupi menyebabkan Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) terpaksa menghadkan pengambilan pelajar meskipun ramai yang memohon melanjutkan pelajaran di universiti itu.
Naib Canselor UITM, Datuk Prof.Ts.Dr.Roziah Mohd.Janor berkata, terdapat beberapa kursus menerima permohonan sehingga mencecah lebih 10,000 termasuk program Diploma Halal seramai 14,000 orang, namun hanya 230 tempat disediakan.
“UiTM memahami kekecewaan lepasan Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) yang ingin melanjutkan pengajian di UiTM di bidang-bidang tertentu. Namun, gagal disebabkan masalah kurang tenaga pengajar untuk kursus tersebut,” katanya selepas melancarkan Cincin Graduasi UiTM di sini hari ini.
