Abstract
ITM mempunyai fungsi yang amat penting kepada negara, status institut itu yang khusus untuk golongan Bumiputera tida akan berubah. Sementara itu, Menteri Pendidikan, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak ketika diminta mengulas lanjut berkata, walaupun penggunaan ITM boleh diubah serta merta kepada Universiti Teknologi Mara, pindaan Akta ITM perlu dilakukan secepat mungkin.
