Abstract
Pengarah ITM Tan Sri Ir Ahmad Zaidee Laidin serta bekas-bekas Pengarah ITM iaitu Tan Sri Arshad Ayob dan Tan Sri Dr. Awang Had Salleh. Pengumuman Perdana Menteri itu juga merealisasikan hasrat beberapa orang pemimpin ITM sebelum ini yang mahukan institut itu diberi taraf universiti.
