Abstract
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will allocate RM200 million to enhance internet facilities and connectivity at all educational institutions under Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara).
Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the allocation aims to resolve internet connectivity issues faced by Mara institutions.
Fahmi added that initially, MCMC wanted to allocate RM150 million, but he requested an additional RM50 million to be provided to Mara.
"But I feel it's not enough. I have a niece studying at UiTM Dengkil, and when I visited the campus, I saw that every room had its own Wi-Fi router.
