Abstract
KOTA SAMARAHAN (Dec 5): A total of 297 graduates received their diplomas and degrees at the 100th Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sarawak Campus convocation, held at Jubilee Hall here yesterday.
Of the total, 538 graduated with their degrees, 697 graduated with their diplomas, and 111 received ‘Anugerah Naib Canselor’ – the highest award given for students who have made the Dean’s List every semester.
“UiTM Sarawak Branch continues to enhance its education system through collaborations with industries, both local and international,” said the university’s pro-chancellor Datuk Abdul Wahab Aziz, in his speech.
“Through these collaborations, graduates are engaged in activities that enrich their experience, such as the ‘Embracing Cultural Diversity: Virtual Inbound Outbound Mobility’ programme between the Mukah campus and Rajabhat University, Thailand,” he added.
He also stated that the Faculty of Management and Business has obtained accreditations from the Premier Digital Tech Institution, Finance Accreditation Agency, and The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
The convocation ceremony is split into four sessions over two days, with a total of 1,235 graduates.
It is part of UiTM’s 100th convocation series, which began on Nov 13-28 at Dewan Agung Tuanku Canselor (DATC) of UiTM Shah Alam and will conclude at Dewan Al-Bukhari of UiTM Sabah Branch on Dec 11-12.
