Abstract
KOTA SAMARAHAN: Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sarawak plans to upgrade itself into a smart campus as part of its initiative to support the state’s vision of digital development.
According to UiTM rector Professor Dr Jamil Hamali, the move is in line with the state government’s effort to turn Kuching into a smart city, with UiTM intending to be part of the initiative. “We do not want to be left behind and become a mere bystander. We want to be part of the government’s move,” he said. He said this at the ‘Ops Jelajah Cyber’ Sarawak edition organised by UiTM Sarawak, UiTM Sarawak Alumni Association (MITSA), and Cybersecurity Malaysia at UiTM Auditorium, Campus 2 here yesterday.
