Abstract
KUCHING: Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sarawak will offer a new course, Diploma in Halal Management, in its November intake this year to accommodate the need for such expertise in the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE).
Its assistant rector (corporate communications and international relations) Associate Professor Dr Firdaus Abdullah said the course will be specially tailored to the specific industries available in SCORE and graduates from the courses will be able to fill the need for workers in the specific industries. “The new course will begin in November. There has always been high demand for this type of programme because there will be high demand in future for halal executives especially to accommodate the need for expertise in SCORE,” he told a press conference at UiTM in Kota Samarahan yesterday.
