Abstract
DUNGUN, Fri. The new $12 million Mara Institute of Technology (ITM) campus at Sura Hujung here will be able to accommodate a about 2,000 students when it is fully operational, ITM chairman Datuk Mansor Othman said yesterday.
This would provide more opportunities for East Coast students to receive professional and semi-professional training, he added. The present campus at Sura Gate can only take in 340 students and 30 lecturers.

Datuk Mansor was speaking at the laying of the foundation stone for the new campus by the Sultan of Terengganu.
The campus, which is located near the sea, will be built on a 400-acre site near where the airport and the Dungun Golf Club were formerly located. The project is expected to be completed at the end of the Third Malaysia Plan period.
