Abstract
More bumiputras are joining the hotel industry. Preference for jobs in new hotels in Malaysia is given to the bumiputras. Executive and supervisory posts are given to graduates of Mara's School of Hotel and Catering Management. School-leavers are taken in to fill the other vacancies. Says the manager of a leading hotel in Kuala Lumpur: "Our policy is to take in as many bumiputras as possible.
