C.M. dream comes true

Abstract

At long last the Chief Minister's dream has come true. The realization came in the form of a new College for Sabah which will have its intake of 160 students in the month of July. This will focus Sabah's image internationally. The College will be a joint venture between the Sabah Foundation and the MARA Institute of Technology - MIT for short. The two "Institutions" have made their names familiar nationally and internationally and their impact on education is indeed impressionable. The campus would enable students to specilise in forestry, wood Technology and fisheries, which were relevant to the needs of East Malaysia - Sabah and Sarawak. Sixty per cent of the intake would be from Sabah and the rest from Sarawak and West Malaysia.
