30 students to be 'adopted' by Japanese families

Abstract

Thirty Mara Institute of Technology students will live with Japanese families in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya for a week to learn the Japanese language and culture. They are members of the Japanese Language Club who will take part in an "adoption" programme organised by their club and the Japan Club of Kuala Lumpur. The idea, for the programme, mooted by Harumi Sakaguchi, will be run from June 1 to 7 during the students' vacation. Each student will be adopted by a family.
