Abstract
KOTA SAMARAHAN: The 96th UiTM Sarawak convocation ceremony, held at Dewan Jubli UiTM on June 13 and 14, will see a total of 1,151 graduates being conferred with their degrees and diplomas.During the first session of the convocation, 279 graduates were recognised, with 82 in accounting, 140 in administrative sciences and policy studies, 26 in hotel and tourism management, and 31 in information management, receiving their bachelor’s degrees and diplomas. Addressing the graduates, UiTM pro chancellor Tan Sri Datuk Zarinah Anwar stressed the importance of identifying skill gaps and equipping oneself with necessary competencies to reach their full potential. “Reskilling and upskilling efforts are important to ensure graduates remain relevant, sensitive to current issues, and adaptable to change. “Those who proactively enrich their experiences and intelligently seek out opportunities will gain a competitive advantage and achieve long-term success,” she said on Tuesday (June 13).
