Abstract
PETALING JAYA: Jawatankuasa Naib Canselor/Rektor Universiti Awam (JKNCR UA) menyokong pendirian Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) untuk kekal berpegang kepada Akta UiTM 1976 (Akta 173) dan Perkara 153 Perlembagaan Persekutuan.
Pengerusi JKNCR UA, Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohd Ekhwan Toriman berkata, pihaknya yang terdiri 20 naib canselor dan rektor UA menyifatkan segelintir pihak yang sengaja membangkitkan isu kemasukan pelajar bukan bumiputera ke UiTM dengan melabelnya sebagai ‘akademi aparteid’, menampakkan kejahilan terhadap Perlembagaan Persekutuan dan kedudukan serta hak bumiputera.
