Abstract
SHAH ALAM: Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) earned a mention in the Malaysia Book of Records when 25,000 people took part in a simultaneous 'gotong royong' in all of its 34 campuses nationwide today.
Themed 'Us, Our Campus and Nature' (Kita, Kampus dan Alam) , the programme represented the varsity's aspirations to remain an institution for educational excellence set amidst a conducive environment.
UiTM vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Roziah Mohd Janor said the historic would help its campuses to be vibrant while enhancing cleanliness.
She said it was important for UiTM students, lecturers, administrative staff and the entire community at the varsity's campuses to forge closer ties among each other.
