UiTM sets up cybersecurity centre

Abstract

IN a move to fight growing cybersecurity threats, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) has joined hands with industry leaders to establish a new Centre of Cybersecurity at its Shah Alam campus.

The official inauguration of the high-tech facility took place at the College of Computing, Informatics and Mathematics Studies (KPPIM) and is poised to become the country’s epicentre of cybersecurity research and innovation.

The facility is one of the projects that arose from government procurement under the Home Ministry and has been required to fulfil the obligations of the Industrial Collaboration Programme (ICP).
