Abstract
UNIVERSITI Teknologi Mara (UiTM) menyemarakkan sambutan Hari Kebangsaan dengan penyertaan 66 penunggang basikal terdiri daripada warganya dalam Kayuhan Santai Merdeka 66.
Selain kayuhan itu, 30 bendera Jalur Gemilang turut diedarkan kepada pelawat-pelawat yang memasuki kampus induk melalui pintu utamanya.
Menurut Naib Canselor UiTM, Prof. Datuk Dr. Roziah Mohd. Janor, program kayuhan tersebut selain meraikan kemerdekaan ia turut mempromosi gaya hidup sihat.
Roziah berkata, program kemerdekaan bukan sahaja diadakan di UiTM Shah Alam tetapi ia turut melibatkan kesemua 34 cawangan universiti tersebut. – UTUSAN
