Give due recognition to building surveyors

LETTERS: The building surveyor profession in Malaysia faces challenges that have affected its growth and recognition.

One challenge is the low level of awareness and understanding of the role of building surveyors in the construction industry.

Another challenge is the lack of regulation and standardisation in the construction industry.

While building codes and regulations exist in Malaysia, they are not always enforced. There is a 
lack of standardisation in the building inspection and certification process.
