Abstract
Usaha penyatuan Tanah Melayu, Sabah, Sarawak dan Singapura itu bermula selepas Perdana Menteri Pertama, Tunku Abdul Rahman mencadangkannya pada 27 Mei 1961 disusuli Mesyuarat Persatuan Parlimen Komanwel Cawangan Tanah Melayu di Singapura pada 23 Julai yang memutuskan penubuhan Jawatankuasa Perundingan Perpaduan Malaysia dipengerusikan Tun Mohammad Fuad Stephens.
