Keeping Up With Technology to Cope in Cashless World

Abstract

During a visit to Al-Falihin mosque in Kampung Alai, Melaka recently, I noticed a signboard put up by the mosque administration to remind the community to contribute sadaqah (alms). What was unique about it, to me at least, was that it featured a QR code generator to facilitate online donation.

It was sign that sadaqah is no longer limited physically giving money but also can be done by via an app at this mosque, which seems tho have integrated fintech (financial technology) in its management.
