Abstract

When we look at a smaller scale, such as what will happen to Sabah's economy after the borders are reopened and the "Transition to Endemic" announcement is made, we must place emphasis on reviving the Small Medium Enterprises (SME) practitioners, as they are the ones who have been hit the hardest by the pandemic and the restrictions. Government assistance should be regularly monitored and provided to SMEs until they are able to survive on their own. This is due to the fact that SMEs are the backbone of the economy. SME's generate a considerable number of job opportunities for the general public. As a consequence, by assisting them, we may also assist the economy.
